Collingwood’s stunning win over the West Coast Eagles has come at a major cost with star defender Darcy Moore limping off with yet another hamstring injury.
Moore retreated to the dressing room early on in the clash at Optus Stadium and did not return to the field before being eventually ruled out for the remainder of the match.
The injury is especially unfortunate given the 23-year-old’s cruel history with soft tissue injuries.
Moore missed Collingwood’s run to the Grand Final in 2018 after playing just seven games during the season due to hamstring issues.
Playing at an All-Australian level in the heart of Collingwood’s defence, Moore’s injury compounds the problems for Nathan Buckley’s side who is already without the likes of the injured Taylor Adams and the suspended Jaidyn Stephenson.
